Independent Community-Based Program

Eligibility

Who May Qualify?

The program is intended for individuals who meet established eligibility criteria.

Potential Participants May Include Individuals Who

  • Do not have multiple prior violent felony convictions.
  • Have not yet been arraigned or entered the applicable stage of the criminal proceeding.
  • Are willing and able to comply with program requirements.
  • Are willing to participate in required virtual educational programming.
  • Are willing to remain under electronic monitoring.
  • Meet any additional eligibility requirements imposed by the program or applicable law.

Individualized Eligibility

Not every person charged with an offense will qualify.

Eligibility may depend on the nature of the allegation, criminal history, procedural status, public-safety considerations, court requirements, and other applicable factors.

Program eligibility does not itself guarantee release or diversion.

Any release or diversion decision remains subject to the authority of the appropriate legal and judicial process.

Community Safety & Supervision

Community-based release does not mean unrestricted release.

Our model incorporates structured requirements intended to promote accountability while participants remain in the community. Electronic monitoring and mandatory educational participation create defined expectations for participants.

The objective is to balance an individual’s opportunity for rehabilitation with the need for appropriate supervision and compliance. Public safety remains an important consideration in determining whether an individual is appropriate for participation.
